Vaso is currently Head of Human Resources Strategy and Solutions for Ekstein Consulting Services and has more than 25 years of leadership and expertise in human resources. She has developed and implemented human resources strategy, driving organizational change, and managing the delivery of HR services to all employees. Vaso has designed and developed thoughtful and credible plans that ensure a business has the structure, systems and processes to attract, retain and reward the top talent necessary to achieve strategic priorities. Vaso is transforming the core people business by challenging conventional practices, driving efficiencies, delivering solutions, with a focus on employee experience.
In her prior role, Vaso was the vice president of HR Operations, overseeing HR technology, analytics and service experience transformation for a major healthcare organization with 30,000 employees. Vaso also worked as the assistant vice president, Human Resources for a major healthcare system in South Florida. She worked in the banking industry, including the Federal Reserve Bank.
During her career, Vaso has modernized HR products and services to deliver the best business results. She has been instrumental in transforming HR from a compliance function to a strategic partner integrated with the business. She has a passion for transforming HR and the team member experience by focusing on culture, engagement, technology, AI, digitization, and data analytics combined with design thinking. Vaso has helped reshaped HR’s connection to the business by building a business partner model. She also led the implementation of the enterprise-wide Nursing Central Staffing and Scheduling Office. After two years of operation, the office realized two million dollars in staffing savings. She developed the workforce analytics capability and managed several predictive modeling studies to support the business. She then went on to help create a lasting people philosophy that is inculcated into company culture. Vaso implemented state-of-the-art systems for applicant tracking, onboarding and customer relationship management.
Vaso is considered an industry expert and has authored “HR and the New Hispanic Workforce”, a book co-published by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She is also an Advisory Board member for HR Exchange Network, and has written many articles on HR topics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Miami, and her MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
Jason is the Chief Consulting Officer for Ekstein Consulting Services.. He has been consulting professionally since 1997, focused entirely on HR Technology. He acts as a strategic partner, and achieves results through strong leadership and implementation skills, technical and troubleshooting expertise, project management and process improvement, and relationship-building. Jason assists organizations in achieving talent management objectives using technology and process innovation.
He is a seasoned expert who has completed many full life cycle implementations and has worked with over 40 clients, providing solutions including business needs analysis, system design, system testing, training, post implementation support, and interim staff augmentation. Jason has worked with clients in the following industries: Healthcare, Retail, Not-for-Profit, Government, Professional services, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals, Entertainment/Leisure, Manufacturing, and Education. Jason's success lies in his ability to connect and communicate with clients, and translate their needs into palpable results. He is tenacious and relentless in finding the optimal solution for his clients.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University at Albany.
